The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on 25th May 2018, defines 6 lawful bases for processing an individual’s data.
Andrew Rump trading as ‘AD infinitum’ (known as AD infinitum hereafter) uses the basis of ‘legitimate interest’, as we are holding and processing your data in order to supply you with our services.
Your privacy is vitally important to us, and we have a few fundamental principles:
We are thoughtful about the personal information we ask you to provide and the personal information that we collect about you through our services.
We aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control the personal information we hold about you.
We aim for full transparency on how we gather, use and share your personal information.
How we use your personal information
We only keep information about you if we have a legitimate interest in doing so. Information kept will be used solely for the purposes of serving your needs while we are undertaking work for you, or where you have consented, to let us inform you about AD infinitum in the future.
We only keep information that you have provided to us, which typically includes, but isn’t limited to:
The details of your project, which might include plans & drawings
We like to maintain a relationship with our clients, so we will hold your data for as long as we feel that there is a legitimate interest to both parties. However, you have a ‘right to be forgotten’, and can request that information stored about you may be deleted at any time.
Who we may give personal information to
We do not currently process any data other than for the business needs of our relationship with you. We may disclose your contact information to our business associates, agents and service providers for processing purposes, but we will always obtain your consent before doing so.
We do not sell our clients’ personal information.
Whilst it is difficult to guarantee that any method of data storage is 100% secure, we work very hard to protect information about you from unauthorised access, use, alteration, or destruction, and take reasonable measures to do so.
Our marketing policy
We have not, and do not use your contact information to inform you of other services and products that may be of interest to you by telephone, post, email or text.
We do not currently do any marketing to existing/previous clients, however we offer everyone the opportunity to opt-in to receive marketing from us, since we may wish to do this in the future.
If you have opted-in, you can exercise your right to opt-out at any time by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org, specifying whether you would like to opt-out of all communications, or which particular channel, e.g. E-mail, Post or Telephone.
Disposal of information
AD infinitum will continue to hold information about you until such time that we are satisfied that we will not work together again in the future, typically after a period of 5 years. AD infinitum will appropriately dispose of any information in a responsible way to maintain your confidentiality.
