family heirloom - contemporary traditional occasional table

Inspired by traditional 18th century design, this occasional pedestal table has hand carved acanthus leaf and lion's paw feet detailing, with leather-lined dovetail drawers. The ash and yew timbers used give a modern alternative to traditional dark woods. This stunning piece of furniture was created as a family heirloom, and sits proudly in a 17th century cottage in the heart of woodlands in East Sussex.

traditional ottoman wedding present

There is no better way to wish newly weds a lifetime of happiness than with a personalised handmade piece of furniture such as this ottoman. Using beautiful olive ash timber, it was designed with the couple's personality in mind. It has brass finishings, dovetail drawers, and follows a classic simple and functional design. Gathering memories and mementoes to pass down to their children.

All too often, we know what we want, but we can't find what we're looking for, and for that special occasion or milestone, it has to be right. Whether it is a family heirloom, a wedding present, a commemorative piece, or a way to say I love you, AD infinitum undertakes small and large commissions to create a truly unique solution.

It is an enjoyable experience, as we embark on the design process together, interpreting your ideas, styles, designs and personality into a creation that is as functional as it is beautiful. Every detail is considered in the hand-drawn illustrations and design concepts that we share with you as we define the design. You will have the opportunity to see your creation as it comes to life as we show you our work in progress, and we will work to a timescale that ensures delivery in time for your special event.

saying thank you with a story-telling chair

Given as a thank you from a family as the last of their three children left the primary school, this handmade oak and ash stick-back armchair is inspired by a traditional welsh design that encapsulates simplicity, comfort and beauty. With hand-carved seat shaping, and traditional methods of construction, working with the grain of the wood, every aspect of the chair has attention to detail. It is used every day to tell stories to the children.
